Have partnered with San Francisco African American Faith-Based Coalition (SFAAFBC) to do vaccine clinics in Black community. This is COVID-19 vaccine clinics at Black churches and community centers with a distinctly culturally rich experience that includes longer-term engagement with Black church as a trusted community hub, especially during times of crisis. This involved Black Health Initiative (BHI), which will be absorbed into the Black Health Center of Excellence. We have vaccinated over 675 individuals in 1 month and then weekly vaccine clinics. UCSF supported a weekly vaccine clinic for us (staffing and vaccines) in partnership with SFDPH will support. Thus, BHI has helped UCSF achieve its’s COVID-19 equity goals in a community-based, community-driven manner.
